Hey guys. I know I don’t know any of you, and I didn’t add this to the page, but very recently I’ve gone through the death of a close friend. He killed himself about a week and a half ago, and I’ve been trying to deal with the grief. However, on top of that, I’m having to go through college…film school. And I’ve spent every waking moment working on making a good project, only to have my professor throw away all my work by saying we have to redo everything. In the midst of everything, this is very rough. Creating this GoFundMe page to get money for our new film project has been the last resort in finding a way to make this film project possible without losing my mind totally. One dollar would put my mind at more ease. The death of my friend has nothing to do with the project; it just has to do with the fact that I’m grieving yet still trying to balance my responsibilities in everyday life, which are proving way harder than they may seem.

You will also receive a “special thanks” credit in the film, which might get you IMDB credit: the international movie database.  I would really appreciate any of your help! Thank you.

There was a time when “amateur” was a compliment. Pursuing something for love was admired, while doing it for filthy lucre was despised. We live in a harsher age, when values have turned around, and if there’s no immediate money from a project, writers are urged to abandon it. I find it reassuring to know the artistic impulse remains this strong, that people will still invest in something for sheer pleasure in its creation, and the hell with what the rest of the world may say.
